Our Intermediate Handgun Class at Bill Jackson’s Gun Range in Pinellas Park is designed for shooters who already have basic firearm experience and want to refine accuracy, speed and confidence. Taught by a USCCA-certified firearms instructor, this small-group class focuses on real-world handgun handling techniques — perfect for responsible gun owners in Pinellas County, Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, and Seminole.
What You’ll Learn
In this hands-on course (60–90 minutes), you’ll train in advanced handgun techniques, including:
- Fast target acquisition and follow-up shots
- Controlled and consistent trigger management
- Strong-hand and weak-hand shooting techniques
- Instinctive (point) shooting with iron sights and optics
- Reloading under duress to improve real-world performance
- Clearing malfunctions quickly and safely
Intermediate Handgun Class Requirements
To participate, students must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of Bill Jackson’s Concealed Weapons or Handgun Essentials Class or
instructor pre-approval - A personally-owned handgun
- At least 100 rounds of approved ammunition
- Eye and over-the-ear hearing protection
- Proper range attire
