Master the Fundamentals of Handgun Safety and Shooting
Ready to gain confidence and control with your firearm? Bill Jackson’s Handgun Essentials class is the perfect starting point for new or novice shooters aged 21 and older. This private firearm training course focuses on handgun safety, proper handling, maintenance, disassembly and shooting fundamentals—all taught by one of Bill Jackson’s certified firearms instructors.
Our personalized, one-on-one or two-person format ensures you receive focused attention and expert instruction to help you build safe, lifelong shooting habits.
Course Requirements
Students are required to bring:
- Eye and over-the-ear protection (available for purchase)
- Your own firearm (one handgun per class)
- 50 rounds of ammunition (available for purchase)
- Appropriate attire: closed-toe shoes and a high-neck shirt.
- Optional: A baseball cap or visor if you wear eyeglasses for added safety.
Scheduling and Pricing
- Tuition: $78 for one student | $100 for two students
- Class Type: Private, by appointment only

Cancellations or transfers with less than 48-hour notice may result in forfeiture of tuition.
