Studies have shown that spending time outside in nature can improve eyesight in children. Spending time outside encourages your eyes to switch back and forth between near sight and far sight, taking some of the strain off of eyes that are forced to stay in prolonged near concentration.

While spending time in nature may not fix all eyesight issues in adults, it can help prevent further deterioration. Time spent in nature is also a wonderful therapy on its own, counteracting some of the psychological effects of staring at screens all day.
